Do I have to own the technology?
A: Each technology submitter must be able to warrant that he/she is the owner of the technology idea being offered or that the submitter is legally free to make a disclosure and to convey patent rights or other rights to the technology being offered to P&G.

Why does P&G have this system for making submissions?
A: There are complex legal issues associated with submissions, involving such matters as patent rights, trade secret ownership and confidential relationships. Your own lawyer can explain these to you. The procedure for submission is designed to protect both the submitter of the technology and P&G. P&G views patent protection or other protections such as copyrights or trademarks as important.
The benefit to you of having a patent, pending patent application, registered trademark or copyright is that it gives you certain rights to prevent others from using your property without your specific permission.

What happens to my submission once it is submitted to P&G?
A: We initially sequester your submission to check that it meets our submission requirements.
We check for the receipt of the signed Release Form.
We will acknowledge receipt of your signed Release Form via e-mail. Once the Release Form has been received we will post your submission to the internal website for one (1) year.
This allows our Research and Development Community (R&D) to view, search , and request the technology for further review. If an R&D Group has requested technology related to the submission, it will be forwarded to a technical contact in that area for evaluation.
Please do not submit confidential information. Confidential information will be deleted from our system. We will not return any samples sent for evaluation.
